What is a Grade Report?
A unique Grade Report is produced for each public high school in Indiana that has recent high school graduates enrolled as freshmen in Indiana colleges and universities. Each report is unique because it compares the average college grades of those recent graduates from your high school to the average college grades of all recent high school graduates enrolled in Indiana colleges and universities. These comparisons are focused on five areas:
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Social Science
  • Science
  • Remedial

The first section of the report is entitled “Freshmen College Performance Profiles” and consists of five pages, each depicting two views of performance data across Indiana colleges and universities:

  • The average grade received by recent graduates from your high school in a particular freshmen curricular area at each Indiana college, and
  • The average grade received by all recent Indiana high school graduates in that same freshmen curricular area at each Indiana college.

The second section of the report, “Institution Performance Profiles,” displays course descriptions, contact personnel and grade distributions comparing your high school to the aggregate statewide grade distribution at each college or university.
What courses are the Grade Reports based upon?
Each year colleges select particular freshman courses that they believe best represent the first year experience at their institution in each subject area. Some colleges select just one course in each subject area, while others select several courses in each area. Average grades of entering freshman in each subject area (for all courses submitted) are then computed and published in the Grade Report. How do I access the Grade Report for my school?
To access your school's unique Grade Report, click on the link below that says "Your Grade Report," or simply click here. Then follow the simple instructions to go about obtaining your report. Keep in mind that to view or print this report you will need a "password", which is available from either your high school principal or superintendent.
