Each year colleges select particular freshman courses that they believe best represent the first year experience at their institution in each subject area. Some colleges select just one course in each subject area, while others select several courses in each area. Average grades of entering freshman in each subject area (for all courses submitted) are then computed and published in the Grade Report.
